Chambers Plan

Member benefit: Small businesses affiliated with a Chamber of Commerce have exclusive access to the Chambers Plan through Canadian Group Insurance.

Administered by Johnston Group Inc, the Chambers Plan is the leading benefit plan for firms with 1 to 35 employees. The non-profit program helps over 25,000 businesses across Canada compete with big firms when shopping for policies for their employees and their employees’ families. Along with competitive pricing on Health, Dental, and Vision care, the Chambers Plan also offers customizable coverage options including Travel security, Life and Disability benefits, and group Retirement Solutions for relevant businesses.

Benefit plans are formed based on the size of the interested company. Small Business Insurance is available for companies of 1 – 9 employees, whereas Group Benefits Insurance is designed for companies with 10 – 35 employees. The Chambers Plan is a pooled benefit plan, meaning coverage premiums are calculated using the average claim across all participants in the program. These bundled claims allow costs to stay low and predictable. Quotes are available quickly and easily online.

Johnson Insurance

Member benefit: Johnson offers discounted rates on Auto, Home, and Travel security exclusively to members of the Chamber.

Johnson Insurance strives to put people first. For over 130 years, Johnson has been providing Canadians with the coverage they need for their home, automobile, and travel experiences. Claims services are available 24/7 for when accidents happen outside of regular business hours.

Johnson Insurance offers Auto, Home, and Travel security policies that are tailored for small businesses. These policies are all customizable, allowing small businesses to save money by only signing up for the coverage they need. Insurance at a discount does not equate to subpar coverage, either. Johnson policies provide a spectrum of different, helpful insurance services, including first accident forgiveness.

On Johnson’s website, a free blog called the Lighthouse helps individuals and businesses navigate the complicated aspects of these plans and what they cover. From travel checklists to auto insurance myth debunks, the Lighthouse is a valuable resource that saves users money and time.
