(PORT COQUITLAM) June 25, 2024 — Saputo is the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce's newest pillar partner. Saputo opened its high-tech state-of-the-art fluid milk production facility in Port Coquitlam in 2021, which serves as a major processing facility of fluid milk products in British Columbia.
"Our Chamber is thrilled to welcome Saputo as our pillar partner," said Leslie Courchesne, CEO, Tri-Cities Chamber. "Saputo is a world-leader in dairy products, and highly committed to the communities in which they operate. Our Chamber's pillar partners are foundational in supporting the vital work we do on behalf of our local business community. My sincerest thanks to Saputo for partnering with us to ensure the Tri-Cities continue to thrive."
"At Saputo, giving back has always been an intrinsic part of our culture. We believe that our success is intertwined with the well-being of the communities we serve," said Rajesh Choudhary, Plant Manager, Saputo. "We are grateful for the advocacy, benefits, and connections that the Tri-Cities Chamber provides to local businesses like ours. We look forward to many more years of partnership and shared success."
Founded in Montreal in 1954, Saputo has grown from a humble family business into one of the top 10 dairy processors in the world, with their products being sold in over 60 countries. Saputo is committed to giving back to the communities that have helped the company flourish. Saputo's support includes financial contributions, product donations from food surplus and established community investment programs, and volunteerism.
"While some of you may not have heard of us by name, I am certain that you’ve already consumed some of our products in beloved and established brands like Dairyland and Armstrong," said Choudhary. "But when you think of Saputo, we hope you see more than a manufacturer. We want you to see the people behind it. The dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering excellence and supporting the communities they live in. Our employees are our greatest asset, and their dedication is what makes Saputo special."
The new pillar partnership with the Tri-Cities Chamber included Saputo's presenting sponsorship of the Chamber's sold-out rock 'n roll themed Golf Classic at Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club on June 20.
Saputo joins Johnston Group (Chambers Group Insurance Plan) and Douglas College in the Tri-Cities Chamber growing pillar partner program.
