Tri-Cities Chamber calling for an immediate end to labour disruption at Canada’s west coast ports

(TRI-CITIES) November 5, 2024 — The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, together with chambers of commerce, boards of trade, and business associations across BC express deep concern over the labour disruption at west coast ports that began at 4:30pm on November 4.

"Here we go again. This labour disruption at west coast ports is not only hurting business, it's hurting families, communities, and everyone across our nation," said Leslie Courchesne, CEO, Tri-Cities Chamber. "Our chamber is calling for the immediate re-opening of our ports to stop the damage to our economy and to Canada's reputation as a global trading partner."
