Tri-Cities Chamber signs joint letter raising concerns with changes to consumer protection laws proposed in BC’s Bill 4

(VICTORIA) March 12, 2025 — The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce has signed a joint letter with leading business associations to all Members of the Legislative Assembly of BC expressing concerns with proposed amendments to consumer protection laws in Bill 4.

The letter calls for a pause on advancing the legislation to allow for engagement and collaboration to ensure better outcomes for consumers and the overall business environment.

The letter is signed by the following organizations:

  • Greater Vancouver Board of Trade
  • Canadian Federation of Independent Business
  • BC Chamber of Commerce
  • Richmond Chamber of Commerce
  • Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce
  • Restaurants Canada
