(COQUITLAM) April 12, 2023 — Housing affordability, crime and social disorder, health care, and government accountability topped the list of topics for Kevin Falcon's address to the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce at its Lunch With Leaders event today.

Nearly 100 Chamber members and guests gathered at the Vancouver Golf Club to hear from Falcon, the leader of BC's Official Opposition and MLA for Vancouver-Quilchena, at his final public event as a BC Liberal. Falcon is announcing the party's rebrand as BC United later this evening.
"In government, one thing we need to get fundamentally right is the economy," Falcon said. "We call it 'setting the table.' ...Instead debt has doubled in the last five years. There are 12 new taxes... Government has grown by 30 per cent. What do we have to show for it?"
"When we form government, we will be laser-focused on results and outcomes."
Falcon fielded questions from Chamber CEO Leslie Courchesne and audience members on the rising costs of doing business, food waste, development, and construction.
The Tri-Cities Chamber Lunch With Leaders series features special presentations from business professionals, industry leaders, and government officials on topics of importance to the community. These luncheons are designed to inform and educate, as well as to provide prime networking opportunities for Chamber members.
