A Certificate of Origin (CO) is an important international trade document that certifies that goods in a particular export shipment are wholly obtained, produced, manufactured, or processed in a particular country. They declare the ‘nationality’ of the product and serve as a declaration by the exporter to satisfy customs or trade requirements.
The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce can provide certificates of origin for both Chamber members and members of the public as an essential trade service.
Please note that not all Chamber staff are able to provide this service. If you require a certificate of origin, please call ahead (604.464.2716) before visiting the Chamber office to ensure that the appropriate person is available to assist.

Certification Requirement for all Documents
For reasons of liability, all documents presented to the Tri-Cities Chamber must be notarized before they can be certified.
Freight Forwarders/Exporters that frequently use our services often find the notarization process costly and time-consuming; an alternative to notarization of these documents is through a “Letter of Waiver”.
If a notarized Letter of Waiver for your company is presented to, or on file with the Chamber, no additional documents to be certified by the Chamber need to be notarized. Please download and use the appropriate form below:
In addition to document notarization, the Chamber also requires a duly notarized copy of your organization’s business registration (describing your operations) with the Federal or Provincial Government, with confirmation of annual business license renewal.
