CHAMBER SUPPORTS PURCHASE OF SANDPIPER SIGNS BY LOCAL CEO CARLO ZARRILLO
(Tri-Cities) February 11, 2015 – Carlo Zarillo, President and CEO of Coquitlam based Rhema Health Products Ltd, has bought a majority share in longstanding local business, Sandpiper Signs and Decals Inc.
The sales agreement has Ken Doty, the current owner/operator of Sandpiper Signs, remaining as the operator with no foreseeable changes at the operational level.
The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce supports the transaction between these two Chamber members as a collaboration that will result in stronger local economic growth and community support.
“The Chamber facilitates relationships and alliances between local businesses”, says Michael Hind, Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “We are pleased to see active and established members like Carlo and Ken coming together to create solutions that help build business and support our community.”
“Both Carlo and Ken share a commitment to the Tri-Cities that will only be strengthened by this agreement”, Hind adds.
Carlo Zarrillo demonstrates his passion for the Tri-Cities by sitting on the Board of SHARE Family and Community Services and the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce. He is also a mentor to the founders of local charity Ruben’s Shoes.
Sandpiper Signs partners with and supports numerous local charities including SHARE Family and Community Services, Stay Strong (the Amanda Todd Legacy Fund), Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, I AM SOMEONE and Crossroads Hospice Society. Sandpiper Signs was also named 2011 Small Business of the Year by the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce.
To alleviate any concerns of a change in guard at Sandpiper signs, current owner Doty says, “I’m not going anywhere. This sale means I’ll get to focus even more on bringing top quality signage and unbeatable customer service to our new and existing clients.”
Zarrillo adds, “Ken loves his work, and the clients love Ken. We share the same core values which we will continue to bring to Sandpiper Signs and to our local community”.
The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is a proactive network of business-minded individuals that are committed to acting as an accessible, visible, supportive and reciprocal resource to our members and the Tri-Cities at large, communicating their collective voice to help shape a prosperous business community.
