Chamber welcomes Kinder Morgan President as keynote speaker

(TRI-CITIES) October 28, 2013 – The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Ian Anderson, President of Kinder Morgan Canada, as the keynote speaker at our Annual General Meeting on November 14th, 2013.

The Tri-Cities Chamber’s AGM is an opportunity for members to help shape the future of the Chamber by voting for a new Board of Directors. Each year, we welcome a keynote speaker to our AGM to address topics relevant to business and economics in the Tri-Cities.

Anderson will be speaking about the Trans Mountain Expansion Project, which proposes the twinning of the existing Trans Mountain Pipeline that runs between Edmonton, Alberta and Burnaby, British Columbia.  The Trans Mountain team is committed to creating local economic opportunities along the construction right-of-way.  Anderson will describe the various stages and types of jobs, procurement possibilities and the local workforce spending involved in building the pipeline.  The presentation will include a progress report on the proposed project, and how businesses in the Tri-Cities can participate in the project.

While only members will be allowed to vote for our Board of Directors during the AGM portion of the event, non-members are welcome to attend the speaker and luncheon portions.

The Annual General Meeting will take place on November 14th, 2013 at the Executive Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre.  Registration will being at 10:15am.  Our speaker will begin at 11:05am.

Tickets are $35 plus GST for members and $50 plus GST for non-members.  Prices include buffet lunch.
