Who: Busy Crocodile Children’s Centre

What: Early Childhood Education Centre

Where: 2511 St. John’s Street, Port Moody; www.busycrocodile.com

Busy Crocodile Children’s centre helps children 30 months to 5 years old get ready for school. I, along with another early childhood educator, work with children to develop and improve their initiative, social relations, creative presentation, language and literacy.

We are not a family daycare but a group children’s centre with an academic curriculum. We make use of a HighScope curriculum, which emphasizes active participatory learning. Students have direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events and ideas. Our French Immersion program gives children at our centre the opportunity to learn a second language at an early age in a fun, relaxed setting. Children are exposed to French through storytelling and songs.

Our top priority is to make sure children at our centre are engaged, safe, healthy, independent and happy. My family not only owns Busy Crocodile – we are extremely involved. We have a hand in every aspect of the business from the healthy snacks we prepare, to the cleanliness of our facilities, to the books we bring in from the Port Moody library.
At Busy Crocodile, we are committed to providing your children with a foundation for life, one that is built on active participatory learning, where children develop their confidence, initiative, autonomy and cooperation.  Please contact us today if you are interested in enrolling your child at Busy Crocodile Children’s Centre.
