Hello Members!

I am very pleased to be here as your shiny, new Public Policy Advisor.

A lot of you may be wondering what exactly it is that I do. Well I am here to do two things:

1) I am here to help amplify the Chamber’s voice on your behalf. Not necessarily to yell louder, but to help develop policies, strengthen arguments and jump on developments in politics at the municipal, provincial and even federal levels. I will be developing a number of policies in the coming months to bring some cohesion and structure to the Chamber’s values.

2) I will be here to advocate for you as members. I look forward to meeting many of you and learning about your roles in the community. As we develop a relationship together, I can become a tool to help amplify YOUR voice within the Chamber and in conjunction with the Chamber. I’ll be the one to help you get your say in how things are run.

I got my love for policy, politics, and advocacy in high school at Dr. Charles Best Secondary. I was that nerd/geek that ran a bunch of school clubs, was in the school play, had lunch with the principal for fun, and was a cheerleader (literally) for just about everything community and politics. My passion drove me to study Political Science at the University of Western Ontario where I earned my B.A. with honours and where I became involved in various political organizations in the city of London. Anything policy or politics drew me like the proverbial moth to the proverbial flame.

So if you like to discuss policy or politics, please drop me a line! I’d relish the chance to throw witty quips back and forth, but would love even more to learn more about issues that are affecting business in our community.

Above all though, I am super excited to be representing the community where I grew up.  I can’t wait to meet as many of you as I can and to get involved in our Chamber community.
