$50 Million Circuit Breaker Business Relief Grant Announced – April 8, 2021

The Circuit Breaker Business Relief Grant provides fully funded grants to hospitality and fitness businesses impacted by the March 30, 2021 Provincial Health Officer (PHO) orders.

Grants of $1,000 to $10,000 are available to hospitality and fitness businesses impacted by the March 30, 2021 PHO orders on gatherings and events and liquor and food serving premises.

Grants are available until June 4, 2021 or until funds are fully expended, whichever comes first.

Growler Sales Extended Until June 6, 2021 – April 7, 2021

To provide additional support to the hospitality industry, the government will provide the opportunity for Liquor Primary and Food Primary licensees to package draught beer in growlers for sale to patrons with the purchase of a meal for off-site consumption until June 6, 2021.

Provincial Government Update – March 29, 2021

B.C. Provincial Health Officer, Bonnie Henry, made several substantial announcements regarding new restrictions in an attempt to cut down on COVID-19 transmission.

B.C. is now implementing a three-week “circuit breaker,” which introduces sweeping new restrictions on indoor dining, group fitness activities, worship services, and more.

All new public health orders go into effect tonight at midnight and will be in place until Monday, April 19.
