Vineet Verghese is Vice President, Commercial Financial Services at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). RBC is a longstanding member of the Chamber of Commerce and is very active in the Tri-Cities community. Vineet has served as a director on the Chamber board for the past year.
At RBC, Vineet took over leadership of the Business Markets team in February 2019. He has since been actively involved with his team of 14 Business Account Managers in supporting small businesses in their markets, many of whom are members of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce.
Vineet and his family emigrated from Dubai, U.A.E to Canada in 2009. He, along with his wife, two children and the family dog have been residents of Pitt Meadows for the last 10 years.
Vineet currently sits on Council and serves as Treasurer for Riverside Community Church in Port Coquitlam. He is a member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Regional and Civic Affairs Committee. He also serves as a Vice President — Memberships and Sponsorships, Ascend Canada — Vancouver Chapter, a not-for-profit Pan-Asian leadership organization. In addition, he serves as a Director with Millennium Relief and Development Services (Canada).
On behalf of RBC, Vineet supported the Trade Accelerator Program (2017–19) in BC, a program offered by World Trade Centre Vancouver in conjunction with the Toronto Board of Trade, where he helped enlist businesses for each cohort, spoke on topics such as financing, FX and trade finance and coached participants with their export plans with the goal of accelerating their exports. Vineet is also actively involved with supporting businesses in the local community on their business strategy and growth planning.
